We are hiring 4 short-term contracts positions, through Service Canada’s Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program.
To qualify for a CSJ position:
Applicants must be between the ages of 15-30, is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
We are seeking applications for the role of Program Assistants
Job Description:
The successful candidates will assist the program managers and/or Executive Director with various BCCEEP programs. You will be required to assist with day-to-day operations as needed, assist the Executive Director and Program Manager with daily tasks, register participants for events and programs and maintain a mailing list, participate in fundraising preparations and events as needed, create content for the website and social media platforms, maintain facility, and light housekeeping duties (sweeping, emptying trash, etc). Applicants must also exhibit a strong positive attitude, a strong willingness to learn, as well as an exceptional work ethic. Availability needed Monday-Saturday, some Sundays.
Compensation is $15.52/hr for 30-40/week.
Some positions will begin as a remote placement, working from home so each applicant must have access to the internet and a computer.
