It’s almost time for one of the most popular festivals in Windsor-Essex.

In a little over a week, Carrousel of the Nations begins with more than 20 villages in Windsor, LaSalle and Leamington.

A unique kickoff event took place on Monday with all the villages represented in the lobby of the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre…

Representing this year’s new addition of the African Village, Abiola Afolabi, says, “With [over] 50 countries in Africa, [we] couldn’t possibly represent them all,” and says “We’ll do some countries each year. So we’ll have some this year and we are hoping with God’s help next time we’ll feature another set of countries.”
